A-shares opened lower; ChiNext Index slid as much as >3% early and was down
1.73% at midday, STAR 50 Index fell over 4% intraday before briefly turning
positive and then sliding again. Shanghai Composite -0.82%, Shenzhen Composite
Index -0.83%. Turnover across both exchanges near RMB 1.5 tln and almost 2,000
stocks declined. Sector action: innovative-drug names repeatedly active and
outperformed, livestock/animal-husbandry led gainers, cinema chains remained
strong; refrigerants, fiberglass and memory-chip sectors extended weakness.
