Apple has sued, accusing OpenAI employees of stealing its trade secrets. OpenAI
chairman Bret Taylor denied the company sought competitors' proprietary
information, saying “we have no interest in other companies’ trade secrets,
absolutely not,” and added an investigation is ongoing so he could not comment
further. Taylor also flagged OpenAI’s push into custom AI hardware, saying the
hardware focus is aimed at fulfilling the company’s mission to ensure AGI
benefits humanity and that exploring hardware forms of intelligence is
important.
