State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) deputy governor Li Bin said at a
State Council Information Office briefing that China’s services trade (imports +
exports) exceeded $1.0tn in 2025 and rose 10% YoY in the first five months of
2026. China is the world’s second-largest services importer. Over the past five
years services exports grew at a 14% annual average; 2025 export volume was
nearly double 2020, and services exports were up 21% YoY in Jan–May 2026.
