China's State Administration for Market Regulation has opened public consultation on a mandatory national standard — Safety Requirements for Elevator Manufacture and Installation Part 3: Elevator Delivery Verification. The draft sets uniform delivery‑verification content and requirements for passenger and freight elevators and adds separate, specific requirements for special types (explosion‑proof and firefighter elevators), including protections for explosion‑proof electrical components and waterproofing of electrical equipment, to ensure applicability and meet industry self-inspection needs.
