According to CUSTOMS’ Guangdong office, Guangdong’s goods trade reached 5.49
trillion yuan in 1H2026, the first time above 5 trillion yuan for the period, up
20.8% YoY. The province accounted for 21.6% of China’s foreign trade; its trade
expansion added 944.71 bln yuan and contributed 25.6% of national trade growth.
Exports were 3.22 trillion yuan, +11.6%; imports were 2.27 trillion yuan, +36.8%.
June trade exceeded 1 trillion yuan for the first time on record. Mechanical and
electrical exports were 2.27 trillion yuan, +16%, representing over 70% of
provincial exports and up 2.7ppt year‑on‑year. Integrated circuit exports were
266.7 yuan yuan, +61.4%; computers and parts 246.12 yuan yuan, +14.6%. High‑end
manufacturing exports showed strength: drones +24.6%, high‑end machine tools
+20.1%, industrial robots +16.8%. Low‑carbon product exports were notable:
lithium batteries +42.7%, electric vehicles +35.3%.
