MIIT’s Equipment Industry Department convened major auto manufacturers to deploy supervision and inspection of auto producers and products. The ministry ordered stronger safety assessments for combined driver-assistance and autonomous driving functions and instructed firms to reinforce capabilities in functional safety, safety of intended functionality (SOTIF), cybersecurity, data security, over‑the‑air software upgrades, and to improve safety-incident monitoring and response.
