ZELENSKIY said on social media on the 17th that former interior minister Igor
Klimenko will replace Umerov as secretary of Ukraine's National Security and
Defense Council (NSDC); he met Klimenko that day and appointment paperwork is
being prepared. ZELENSKIY said the NSDC's primary tasks are efficient
coordination of security and defense work, daily oversight of implementation of
decisions, and coordinating defense production as a priority.
