Rezaei, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, warned that if US forces continue
strikes for the next two to three days Iran will abandon its
deterrence-and-matched-response posture and shift to a “full offensive and
destruction” phase, potentially striking US military bases and personnel
overseas. He said prior Iranian restraint aimed to avoid regional spillover but
that US “miscalculation” could escalate the situation; Rezaei urged Kuwait,
Jordan, Qatar and the UAE to prevent the US and Israel from widening operations
and said the US policy of “war and negotiation simultaneously” has failed,
adding Iran will intensify retaliation in the coming days.
