July 18, 2026 — At the medical forum of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai's Xuhui West Bund, Shanghai issued the industry's first evaluation benchmark for AI diagnosis of difficult clinical cases covering 30 clinical specialties to assess large medical models' ability to handle complex cases. The city's medical AI evaluation framework was upgraded to version 5.0, adding an 'atomic skills' assessment intended to detect and correct AI-generated false information.
