A July 17 landslide in Pengshui county, Chongqing buried multiple people and
left others missing. The National Disaster Reduction and Relief Commission
launched a national level-4 emergency response. The National Development and
Reform Commission has allocated 30 mln yuan of central-budget investment, under
the national natural disaster rescue emergency plan, to support post-disaster
emergency restoration of infrastructure and public-service facilities in the
affected area.
