Israel's prime minister's office criticized New York City's mayor after the
mayor said he was studying how to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
should he travel to New York. The PMO called the International Criminal Court a
"kangaroo court", said it lacks jurisdiction over Americans and Israelis, and
said the warrant was issued by "disgraced former ICC chief prosecutor Karim
Khan", adding that sexual-misconduct allegations against Khan surfaced days
later and alleging the move was intended to distract public attention.
