On July 20 local time, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the
23rd wave of an operation called “Victory 2” involved a three-phase strike on US
regional forces. The IRGC said the first phase destroyed a US drone maintenance
and repair facility at Bahrain’s Sakhir air base; the second phase struck
targets at Bahrain’s Salman Port; the third phase hit facilities at Camp Arifjan
in Kuwait. It said the strikes used large numbers of missiles and unmanned
aerial vehicles and were carried out in retaliation for recent US military
actions.
