Middle East conflict has disrupted supply, forcing Pakistan and Bangladesh to
pay multi-year highs for spot LNG. Trading sources said Pakistan’s state LNG
The company bought a cargo on Monday at about $21.88/MMBtu, the highest since 2022.
Sources said Bangladesh’s state buyer paid an even higher price last week for at
at least one August cargo. Those spot prices are roughly double the cost under
their long-term Qatar supply contracts.
