At the midday close, China's most-active futures contracts were mixed. Lithium
carbonate fell over 4%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) declined more than 3%; LPG,
eggs and paraxylene dropped over 2%; asphalt slid nearly 2%. On the upside,
Shanghai silver gained more than 5%; palladium rose over 3%; platinum and
international copper advanced over 2%; Shanghai gold was up nearly 2%.
