CIMC Group said a steel–coke integrated clean-energy project in Liupanshui,
Guizhou has been commissioned and entered stable operation, serving as a key
hydrogen supply node on the Chongqing‑Guizhou‑Guangxi hydrogen corridor. The
facility, the largest industrial tail‑gas-to‑hydrogen demonstration in southwest
China, uses surplus coke‑oven gas from local steel mills and a proprietary
full‑chain process to split components and convert industrial tail gas
previously used for combustion power into high‑value clean energy. Annual output
is about 24 million cubic meters of 99.999% fuel‑cell‑grade hydrogen and roughly
140,000 tons of LNG.
