At the 2026 China Meat Products Industry High-Quality Development Conference in
Yichang, Hubei, the State Administration for Market Regulation guided the China
Meat Association and local meat associations to jointly issue an industry
self-regulatory convention for meat products. More than 150 meat production and
trading companies have signed on. The convention aims to push producers and
operators to fully implement their primary responsibility for food safety,
bolster consumer confidence, and support high-quality development of the meat
products sector.
