The National Energy Administration said in a July 21 report that China’s crude
output reached a record 216 mln tons in 2025 and natural gas production
exceeded 100 bcm for the ninth consecutive year, taking oil-and-gas output
equivalent to a record 420 mln tons. The agency said domestic supply capacity
has significantly improved and the sector has entered a new phase of
simultaneous scale and efficiency gains alongside greener development.
