The Dutch government announced on the 21st that it will impose from Sept. 22
three-year trade sanctions on goods originating in Israeli settlements. Products
from settlements in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights will be barred
from entry into the Netherlands and prohibited from direct or indirect purchase,
marketing and provision of related intermediary services. The government said
the measures aim to use economic means to counter Israel’s establishment of
illegal settlements in those territories.
