Korean semiconductor stocks jumped in early trade on the 22nd after overnight US
tech strength. As of 09:11 local time (08:11 Beijing), Samsung Electronics rose
5.79% to 274,000 won; SK Hynix gained 8.50%, intraday topping 2,000,000 won for
the first time since July 15. US drivers: NVIDIA +1.97% as its next‑generation
AI server platform Vera Rubin enters mass production and begins shipments to
major customers; Micron +12.17% and Broadcom +2.21% lifted the Philadelphia
Semiconductor Index 5.21%. SK Hynix ADR jumped 13.75% to $171.94 overnight.
Foreign investors net bought 717.6 bln won in Korea’s electrical and electronics
sector; retail and institutional investors net sold 370.6 bln won and 345.8 bln won, respectively.
