Wistron opened its D1 AI factory in Fort Worth, Texas on the 21st (US Central
Time), a roughly $700m, 324,000 sq ft facility. The plant has produced and begun
volume production of the first U.S.-made NVIDIA GB300 compute substrate. NVIDIA
CEO Jensen Huang attended and said AI demand remains strong, NVIDIA is growing
~doubling annually and will need more AI factories, making capacity expansion
necessary. Wistron chairman Lin Xianming said the company will build a D2 plant
twice the size of D1 and may evaluate additional D3 and D4 sites.
