Counterpoint Research projects global foldable smartphone shipments will rise 21% YoY in 2026, extending expansion from 2025 driven by sustained demand for large premium foldables, intensifying competition among leading OEMs and Apple’s expected market entry. Samsung is forecast to retain the lead with a 32% share in 2026; Apple is projected at 25%, Huawei 24% (with particular strength in China), Motorola 8% and Honor 3%. Counterpoint notes the 2026 market structure will differ markedly from 2025.
