since July 14, led by capesize strength. The Baltic Capesize Index (BCI) climbed
184 points (+4.7%) to 4,114, the highest since July 16; capesize average daily
Earnings rose $1,668 to $33,805. The Baltic Panamax Index (BPI) fell 61 points
(-2.8%) to 2,120, the lowest since June 29; panamax daily earnings declined $546
to $19,083. The Supramax Index (BSI) eased 15 points (-0.9%) to 1,715 for a
second consecutive day of decline, while the Handysize Index (BHSI) ticked up 2
points to 905.
