The Wall Street Journal, citing flight-tracking data and US officials, reports
the US is urgently deploying troops, medical personnel and equipment to the
Middle East to expand military options as President Trump considers broader
action against Iran. Over the past week special operations forces have been
moved from US bases to the region. Multiple fighter squadrons have completed
deployments across the Middle East and bombers at US and UK bases are on high
alert to reinforce operations. More than 150 medical personnel arrived in recent
days at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, the primary treatment
facility for US wounded personnel in Middle Eastern combat.
