A-share oilfield services and engineering stocks rallied in early trading, with Zhongman Petroleum rising over 9% and Keli Petroleum rising over 7%. Other stocks such as Potential Energy Resources, Tongyuan Petroleum, Bomaike, Sinopec Oilfield Services, and Offshore Oil Engineering also saw gains. This follows a previous social media post by Trump stating that the US would bomb and destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant should Iran fire on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

SASAC will expand central SOEs' digital-intelligence transformation and deepen an "AI+" special action to create more strategic high-value scenarios and high-quality datasets, and to integrate AI and digital technologies into production and operations. It will also coordinate green retrofits in steel, nonferrous, building materials, petrochemicals and chemicals, and advance classified, phased cultivation and longer-term measures to renew, consolidate and launch initiatives and accelerate the development of new pillar industries.
