China A-share power sector opened stronger: several renewables stocks hit daily
limit-up, Shimao Energy rose over 8%, and major generators including Huadian
Liaoning, Huadian Energy, Chuaneng Power and Guodian Power also gained. China’s
renewable-energy development 15th Five-Year Plan targets by 2030 roughly 3.5
billion kW of installed renewable capacity and about 6 trillion kWh of annual
generation; wind and solar combined capacity is to exceed 2.8 billion kW and
account for more than 50% of total capacity.
