China today released a plan outlining comprehensive deployment of traditional
Chinese medicine (TCM) policy, targets and indicators for the 15th Five-Year
period. The plan sets targets to 2030: a more complete nationwide, life‑course
TCM service system; new breakthroughs in prevention and treatment of major
diseases using TCM; upgraded quality of grassroots TCM services; substantially
enhanced basic research capacity; materially stronger innovation capability in
the Chinese medicine industry; and greater cultural and international influence,
aiming for universal access to TCM services.
