Alphabet is rolling out a selfie-video sign-in option to help users who lose devices or forget passwords authenticate. Setup is a short online flow with guided head movements to capture multiple angles; Alphabet said saved recordings will be used to match against live video at subsequent logins. Google is also testing other verification methods beyond account login, including a partnership with Private ID to verify age via selfie for access to age-restricted content.
