Yemen’s Houthi movement said on the 23rd it attacked two Saudi oil tankers, Encelia and Layla, using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in retaliation for what it called a Saudi blockade and to enforce a previously announced Red Sea shipping ban. It said it will continue maritime military operations and follow its “blockade for blockade” measures, and warned that any new Saudi military action in Yemen would prompt larger strikes on targets inside Saudi Arabia.
