Some oil tanker operators are remaining outside the strait rather than risk transit. Two industry sources said on Thursday Kazakhstan's oil production fell after a main export terminal on the Black Sea was closed following a drone attack. Output at the Chevron-led Tengiz field, the country's largest, more than halved, from 925,000 bpd in July to about 406,000 bpd on Wednesday. Total Kazakh oil and condensed production dropped from an average 2.07 mln bpd in July to 1.63 mln bpd on Wednesday.
