The U.S. on Thursday renewed trade complaints against the EU, saying the bloc’s
fine on Google and a recent loan to Airbus could undermine constructive
negotiations and pose a concrete risk to the stability of transatlantic trade,
U.S. Trade Representative Greer said. The European Commission on Thursday fined
Google about $1 bln for breaching the Digital Markets Act. Greer called that
decision and other recent rulings "unreasonable financial penalties" and said
the EU’s actions are creating substantial uncertainty for U.S. exporters to
Europe.
