According to the Financial Times, hedge fund assets saw their biggest quarterly gain in history last quarter, driven by soaring stock prices fueled by artificial intelligence and investor exodus from private equity and credit funds. Total assets under management increased by $409 billion to $5.6 trillion, with most of the growth attributed to strong investment performance. Hedge funds suffered losses in the volatile month of March following the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War. However, since then, they have benefited from a surge in the stock market, led by chip stocks such as Samsung, AMD, and SK Hynix. "I think this is going to be a golden age for hedge funds after a long period of uncertainty," said Shenan Danani, co-CEO of Trium Capital. HFR data shows that hedge funds also saw strong investor demand, with $134 billion invested over the past three quarters, the largest inflow in three quarters since 2007.
