In early July, Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei consumer associations conducted a joint
investigation into airline ticket oversales. Citing findings and Article 40 of
the Implementation Regulations of the PRC Consumer Rights Protection Law, the
associations held a joint meeting on July 24 in Tianjin with Air China, China
Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines,
Tianjin Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Spring Airlines, Hebei
Airlines and online platforms Tongcheng, Ctrip, Fliggy, Qunar and Meituan, and
ordered them to complete self-inspection and rectification by August 31, 2026.
