Yunlong said at a State Council Information Office briefing on the 24th that
recent seed R&D has strengthened: high-quality rice and water-saving,
disease-resistant wheat now account for 55% and 44% respectively; maize
varieties suited to high-density planting and mechanized harvesting are driving
a new round of varietal turnover and yield gains; domestically bred
white-feather broilers and Huaxi cattle are steadily increasing market share.
