China praised Pakistan’s key role in brokering the memorandum of understanding
between Iran and the US and said it will fully support Pakistan’s mediation to
push parties back into talks and secure a lasting ceasefire. Beijing said it
seeks closer coordination with Pakistan in the Shanghai Cooperation
Organization, the United Nations and other multilateral forums to defend shared
interests and Global South rights. Pakistan said ongoing communication and
coordination with China is necessary, warned Gulf escalation serves no one,
reiterated its willingness to continue peace mediation, and said it will deepen
cooperation with China within the SCO and trilateral China–Pakistan–Bangladesh
frameworks to help preserve regional peace, stability and development.
