President Trump said the European Union has been directly targeting the U.S.
companies and that his administration will not tolerate it. He said the U.S.
will immediately initiate a Section 301 investigation into EU actions that
"plunder" American firms and harm U.S. taxpayers, that EU penalties will be
fully reversed, and that the U.S. expects to impose large tariffs on the EU at
the earliest opportunity.
