Typhoon Hongxia intensified to typhoon strength on the morning of July 25 and is
forecast to make landfall between Shenzhen and Huilai overnight July 25–26 as a
typhoon or strong typhoon; expected landfall location is roughly 150 km from
Zhuhai. The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge Maritime Safety Administration raised
its tropical cyclone response from Level IV to Level III at 10:20 on July 25 and
at 12:00 implemented temporary traffic control, prohibiting inland river vessels
from entering the bridge channel.
