Profits at China's raw-materials manufacturing enterprises above designated size
rose 71.7% YoY in 1H, lifting total profits of industrial enterprises above
designated size by 8.8 percentage points, the National Bureau of Statistics
said. Nonferrous metals profits climbed 99.4% YoY—supported by firmer copper and
aluminum demand—adding 4.7 percentage points to aggregate industrial profit
growth. Petroleum processing swung back to profit as petroleum-chain product
prices rose, while chemical industry profits advanced 67.8% YoY.
