July 27 — With 100 days until the 9th China International Import Expo, the
Hongqiao International Economic Forum will run alongside the expo. The 9th
forum, themed Stabilizing Cooperation and Building an Open World Economy, will
stage a main forum plus a “1+4” program: the “1” is a report-release and
international seminar that will publish the World Openness Report 2026
(including an updated World Openness Index), debut a new Export China Capability
Development Report as a second flagship, and release a Chinese edition of the
2026 World Trade Report. The four panels — Open Cooperation, Open Innovation,
Open Development and Open Sharing — will focus on defending multilateralism, new
tech-driven growth, green and sustainable globalization, and promoting a
trustworthy China.
