China National Gold Group said on July 26 it will dismantle institutional
barriers, revamp its resource-management and incentive framework and strengthen
cross-department coordination to accelerate strategic mineral development. The
group plans to prioritize in-house exploration and reserve additions, complete a
full resource inventory and speed conversion of resource potential, using
subsidiaries and regional platforms to build a zonal, multi-point domestic
resource-security network and strategic bases. It also aims to raise resource
quality against top-tier benchmarks, develop nationally significant, globally
recognisable mining projects, and adapt to international mining cooperation
rules while pursuing diversified overseas M&A and development models to boost
its global resource-allocation influence.
