Tokyo District Prosecutors Office on March 27 indicted 3rd Lieutenant Murata
Akihiro of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force on charges including unlawful
entry, weapons-law violations and coercion. On March 24 Murata, armed with a
knife, scaled a wall and forced his way into the Chinese embassy in Tokyo.
Police had earlier arrested him on suspicion of unlawful entry; authorities say
investigation and case handling have begun slowly.
