A tornado struck Wisconsin on the 27th, crossing Lake Winnebago around noon and
moving south, the NWS said. It knocked down large numbers of trees, damaged
homes and overturned vehicles. In the Menasha area the local utility said downed
transmission lines left roughly 18,000 customers without power.
