Hangzhou has published a draft Hangzhou AI Industry Development Promotion
Regulation for public comment that proposes support for a token economy. The
draft backs firms building token production, trading and settlement, and
external service platforms to strengthen the city’s token production, scheduling
and allocation capabilities. It also supports development of a token-service
consumption market and promotes demonstration and adoption of token services in
manufacturing, government, education, healthcare, finance and consumer sectors
to deepen integration with the real economy.
