According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday that, as part of the government's efforts to promote tourism, it plans to impose stricter penalties next month on excessive charges in the accommodation and food service industries. The cabinet has approved amendments to the implementing regulations of the Tourism Promotion Act, which will take effect on August 4.
