The Baltic Dry Index fell 32 pts (1.2%) to 2,664 on Tuesday, its lowest level
since July 2, after freight rates slid across all vessel classes. The Baltic
Capesize Index dropped 60 pts (1.4%) to 4,140, its weakest since July 22;
Capesize average daily earnings fell $539 to $34,048. The Panamax index fell 11
pts (0.6%) to 1,988, the lowest since late April; Panamax daily earnings
declined $94 to $17,896. The Supramax index slipped 22 pts (1.3%) to 1,648, the
lowest since June 12.
