Israeli Channel 12 reported Israeli and UAE officials held multiple secrets
meetings in an unnamed third country to coordinate their positions and joint
actions on Iran, including measures in international organizations. The UAE
expressed strong opposition to a US‑Iran memorandum of understanding, arguing
the deal could give Iran time to repair its economy without substantive
concessions. Both sides agreed any actions should be cleared with the Trump
administration. Western diplomats said the UAE is more hawkish on Iran than some
Gulf states and that the UAE’s ability to export energy via alternative routes
has increased its strategic alignment with Israel.
