At the morning open, China’s commodity front-month futures were mostly lower.
20# rubber fell more than 2% and rubber nearly 2%; Shanghai silver, synthetic
rubber, Shanghai nickel, soda ash and caustic soda declined over 1%; white sugar
slipped about 1%. Advancers included container shipping to Europe, up over 4%;
styrene (EB), low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and ethylene glycol (EG) each rose more
than 1%; Shanghai aluminum and foundry aluminum gained about 1%.
