MOFCOM spokesperson said the US is broadening its national security concept and
erecting discriminatory barriers, politicizing and weaponizing research
cooperation, and thereby obstructing Sino-US scientific exchanges — a move
contrary to global technology collaboration. China urges the US to stop smearing
Chinese research institutions, correct its approach, and provide fair,
impartial, non-discriminatory treatment. China will take necessary measures to
safeguard the legitimate rights of its research institutions and to protect
normal scientific exchanges and cooperation.
