Chinese motorcycle makers have broken a foreign grip on high-end engine
technology: a domestic model recorded a measured top speed of 315.82 km/h during
performance runs at a proving ground in Shangrao, Jiangxi, setting a new
domestic record in the liter-class high-performance segment. Manufacturers say
the engine breakthroughs are translating quickly into orders — China’s
motorcycle exports rose 23.99% YoY in 1H. One producer reported exporting more
than 20,000 units in Jan–Jun to Southeast Asia, Europe and the US, generating
Over 200 million yuan in output value, roughly double year-on-year.
