On the morning of the 29th the Shiite militia Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF)
said US and Saudi strikes on its bases across Iraq killed at least 20 and
wounded 32. The PMF said strikes hit its headquarters in Baghdad, Wasit,
Nineveh, Basra, Kirkuk, Karbala and Diyala and damaged multiple facilities,
vehicles and military equipment. The statement described the action as a
dangerous escalation and a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty; Iraqi
authorities are monitoring the situation and casualty and damage assessments are
ongoing.
