A China-Russia naval task group arrived in Vladivostok on July 29, ending a bilateral maritime patrol. The formation included Chinese missile destroyers Kaifeng and Anshan and replenishment ship Kekexili Lake alongside a Russian frigate. The group sailed from Qingdao on July 13, transiting multiple straits and operating in the western Pacific, the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. Exercises included cross-deck helicopter transfers, counterterrorism, humanitarian assistance and boarding-and-seizure drills; Chinese vessels also carried out live-action exercises tailored to local sea-air conditions.
